In an official statement this morning, Cochrane mayor Peter Politis announced that the independent audit of his 2014 election campaign finances has resulted in acquittal. Mayor Politis had been accused of improperly reporting certain aspects of his campaign finances, but the auditor disagreed and the matter has been dismissed.
