PHU bucking the provincial trend of fewer new COVID-19 cases; 29 reported today

UPDATE AT 4:50pm: Two more cases added for a total of 31, and 771 overall.  One is in Timmins; the other in “the area of Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls and Smooth Rock Falls.”

The Porcupine Health Unit region is obviously not following the provincial downward trend in COVID-19 infections. It reports another 29 today, for a running total of 769.  There are 165 cases that are currently active.

All but two of today’s new cases are in Timmins.  There is also one somewhere between Fauquier and Opasatika, and one between Smooth Rock Falls and Matheson.
