The Blue Jays have advanced to the American League Championship Series after a comeback win over the Texas Rangers. Trailing 3-2 in a wild seventh inning, the Jays scored four unearned runs including a three run blast by Jose Bautista to go up 6-3. That margin also turned out to be the final score of the game. Toronto now faces Kansas City for the league championship beginning this Friday. The Royals beat the Houston Astros 7-2 in the decisive fifth game last night.
In the NHL, only one Canadian team in action last night and that saw the Ottawa Senators easily get by Columbus 7-3.
