The Highway 11 Connecting Link Upgrade project begins work today on Government Road in Kapuskasing. In Cochrane, new paving projects and the Railway Street restoration project are beginning through the main stretch of town. Manager of Public Works in Kapuskasing, Eric Cote, says the Highway 11 corridor through Kapuskasing will cause some delays. He says the sidewalk at the Kapuskasing Golf Club on the north side of the highway will be closed to pedestrians for about a month. Public Works is looking for a way around the sidewalk closure, hoping to open it to pedestrians during the construction.
