Among the latest cases of COVID-19 in Timmins is a child who attends the Friends Forever Childcare Centre on Pine St. N.
Parents are told the centre is closed while it undergoes a deep clean. It also says it will notify parents once it has further instructions from the health unit.
Owner Melanie Ross says it will also be closed tomorrow as it works through Porcupine Health Unit protocols, and then take it one day at a time.
Ross adds that parents have been understanding and kind about the situation.
