We’re in for snow and messy driving, but not as bad as the Kapuskasing area

You might want to get your snow shovel and car brush back out.  You’re going to need it in the next day or so.

Environment Canada meteorologist Steven Flisfeder says it should start as rain Tuesday evening for the Timmins-Cochrane forecast area, changing to snow around midnight.

“It is going to be some accumulations. Right now it’s looking like 5-10cm,” he predicts.  “They get to be on the lesser end of the ranges, but does look like some accumulating snow for them.”

Flisfeder says “them”, because the Kapuskasing area is expecting at least 15 cm of snow, and even more moving up towards the James Bay coast.

He adds that driving conditions will be less than ideal on Wednesday morning in our neck of the woods.
