There’s a new look to the exterior of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Iroquois Falls.
Parishioner Michael Shea says it was looking rather worn.
“Over the last 40 years I guess thanks to the elements of sun and rain and wind, the façade just depleted into a very dull look,” he remarks.
The entire project was financed by a $50,000 bequest from the estate of late parish member and high school teacher Jim Gaughan. The building is 105 years old.
“The way the church is refurbished, I think we’re good for another century,” Shea says. “It’s strong and holding, it’s going to have a long life.”
