No new cases of COVID-19, three earlier confirmed as a variant of concern

No new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in our region over the weekend.  However, the Porcupine Health Unit does say that three cases in Timmins have proven to be one of the variants of concern.

Officially, it’s called B-1-1-7 and was first detected in the United Kingdom.  No further testing will be done on these particular samples, and the health unit says vigilance with public health measures remains critical.
