Warm temperatures and rain over the next couple days are going to make a mess of our roads… as snow melts, causing slush and water.

Cochrane’s director of infrastructure services Hyder Rajab says the best thing you can do is drive to the conditions of town streets.

“We’ll try our best,” he adds. “Our crews they are ready actually to monitor the weather and check the road conditions and we’ll deploy them as necessary as we could.”

Rajab says workers have been out since Monday with a steam generator, thawing out catch basins.  He says if you can make the ones in front of your property as clear as you can, that will be helpful. “Usually to clear any obstacles to the storm water, manholes or catch basins, it’s a good idea to clear them.”
