A sure sign that spring’s approaching: so is income tax season.
Again this year, a group of volunteers in Iroquois Falls – nine of them – are ready to help anyone who needs it, and can’t afford to pay a professional tax preparer.
Coordinator Carmen Girard says because of the pandemic, the service has no physical address. Instead, you can call 705-232-0583.
“We can give you information and we can make arrangements for you to drop off in a secure box or for us to pick up if you cannot get out,” says Girard, adding that you can also call to see if you meet the eligibility criteria.
“We do seniors, we do disabled people, students, low income, families. Just give us a shout and we’ll give you more information.”
