The Kapuskasing Civic Centre is playing host to the third annual Youth Gathering. Organizer Terrance Sutherland says the event is a two way street where aboriginal and non-aboriginal children come together on common ground and learn about each other. Sutherland says it’s good for the over 200 kids from Cochrane through Hearst and beyond to be exposed to something a little different. Today, guest speakers will take the stage sharing stories about their upbringing and how to overcome obstacles and how they saw opportunities in their professional and personal lives.
