TERRY FOX RUN

The annual Terry Fox Run has raised over $3,000 for the foundation yesterday.  In its 35th year of operation the foundation is on pace to raise $1 billion by its 40th anniversary for cancer research. The run’s organizer for Kapuskasing/Hearst/Cochrane, Peggy Anne Endean says the small towns have raised over $200,000 in the twenty years a run has been held.  She says the run draws in people from all over the area.  Endean says the run isn’t all about the money from pledges; just participating helps raise awareness for cancer research.
