SPECIAL FARMER’S MARKET IN KAP

Residents and farming industry professionals are invited to a special farmer’s market in the Circle.  You can hitch a wagon ride to the Ron Morel Memorial Museum until noon from market to check out the new exhibits.  Julie Latimer, the museum’s curator says Farm Field Day celebrates rich regional heritage.  Latimer says during World War I the farm was serviced by an internment camp for the department of agriculture.  She says the research into sustaining farming in the north benefited the whole country.  The Demonstration Farm will feature a petting zoo, special exhibits and local food.
