The Porcupine Health Unit is bringing in a local chef to conduct a canning workshop. Emerie Brine will be helping residents safely can their food. The seminar will be making a stop in Kapuskasing and Faquier on September 21st before heading to Iroquois Falls and Cochrane on the 22nd. The health unit says with so many farmers markets in the area canning is become more popular as resident use it to keep their produce fresh.
