Iroquois Falls will have a Christmas parade after all. The Chamber of Commerce has picked it up, after the local committee decided against it, amid COVID-19 concerns.
Chamber manager Danielle Rowan says her membership was disappointed with that news.
“You know, it was really sad,” she comments. “It’s been such a tough year for I think all of us and it’s something that I think the community really looks forward to, is the Christmas parade.”
It’s a drive-by parade, taking the traditional route around town. You’re asked to stay in your car, with your family bubble, parked along the route and let the parade go by.
And as busy as he’ll be four days before his big trip… a certain jolly old elf named Claus will be there.
“He will be there,” Rowan proudly notes. “He will be toasty and warm, and he’s going to have Mrs. Claus with him. They’re going to be finishing up the parade as our last float.”
The parade goes from the arena to Main St., down Victoria Rd., Anson Dr. and Fyfe Ave., finishing up again at the arena. All the fun begins at 6:00pm Sunday
