Rosie, Rocky and Ronan are three lucky ‘chicks’ – they have over 20 mother hens looking over them. The baby chicks were incubated and hatched in the junior/senior kindergarten class at Diamond Jubilee Public School over the last few months. “Part of the curriculum is to learn what living things are and what they need to survive,” explained teacher Pam Stickley. Mrs. Stickley’s class also shared with a class at Andre Cary School through pictures and Face Time. The chicks have been returned to their real parents at a farm in Val Rita. Mrs. Stickley hopes this can become an annual project for the class.
