Swimming returns to the Tim Horton Event Centre next Tuesday, September 8th – under COVID-19 protocols, of course.
Town of Cochrane community services director Jason Boyer says the change areas are smaller, and there is no access to lockers or showers for now.
“And we’ve shortened up the times for the swims, because we have to disinfect between user groups,” he adds. “So we can have up to 35 limit in the pool at one time. We have social distancing circles marked out on the pool floor and throughout the pool facility.”
Boyer continues: “We have controlled access now at the front doors of the facility, so you’ll have to pay and then we’ll also take name and contact information from the participant as required for COVID-19. And then you’ll have to wear your mask throughout the facility until you get to the pool.”
