District School Board Ontario North East is sending home notes to students in elementary schools across the board in case there’s a strike by teachers. The Elementary teachers are in a strike position and the board is issuing the letter to inform parents as to what to expect. It doesn’t mean that a strike will happen. Should teachers go out on strike, parents and guardians will be notified immediately. The board says that the priority during any job action is for the students.
