The Town of Kapuskasing is ready and so is the Red Cross. Volunteers from the town, the Red Cross and the Indian Friendship Centre were on hand as the first of the evacuees from Kashechewan arrived in Kapuskasing earlier today. The town’s CAO Yves Labelle says it’s too early to tell how long they will remain.
Long term evacuees from last year are hoping to get back to their homes later this year.
