The Town of Cochrane is the recipient of an award from the 8-80 Cities Group. J.P. Ouellette of the town and Valerie Ouellet of the Porcupine Health Unit accepted an award on behalf of the town’s Doable Neighbourhoods Working Group. The award was presented to the town of Cochrane on March 30th and is the smallest of four cities in all of Ontario be part of the program. Cochrane was awarded the Community Innovator Award. The town is determined to become the happiest, healthiest, most liveable town in northern Ontario. Cochrane will be launching some more programs in their efforts to become healthier.
