Cochrane Mayor Denis Clement sees his role and that of his council during the COVID-19 pandemic as doing everything it can to lessen the impact on small businesses and tax payers.
And he has a quick answer when asked what the public can do to make his job easier during the crisis: “Stay home.”
Clement says that will make everyone’s life easier. He also calls it a way to look out for your neighbour.
“I know not everyone can stay home. Just absolutely when necessary, leave your home and stay home as much as possible.”
“Don’t gather and just stick with your family and certainly don’t visit your neighbours and don’t visit even your family that don’t live with you.”
