UPDATE 9:00pm

Fourth case confirmed.  Man in his 70s from Timmins, now in self-isolation at home.  He was on Air Canada flights from Houston to Toronto and Toronto to Timmins on March 12th. Passengers in four rows and flight attendants are considered close contacts, told to go into isolation for 14 days.

UPDATE 4:00pm

The Porcupine Health Unit has two new cases of COVID-19, bringing its total so far to three.  Like the first one, these two are both in Timmins.

Medical officer of health Doctor Lianne Catton says the man and woman – both in their 50s – are close contacts of each other and neither had been out of the country.

They went to Emerge at the district hospital Thursday night, where they were tested.

The man is in self-isolation at home.  The woman is in isolation in Intensive Care at the hospital.  They’re both in stable condition.
