NewsHere’s who’s playing at Porquis Music Festival SHARE ON: Bob McIntyre, staff Tuesday, Feb. 25th, 2020 The line-up for the newly named Porquis Music Festival has been released. It runs July 17th to 19th.Artistic director Jack Larabee says taking the stage on opening night will be Tony Prophet – son of Ronnie Prophet, and a resident of Iroquois Falls – as well as Stompin’ Tom’s son, Taw Connors.“We also have the Weber Brothers,” notes Larabee, “which is a production company out of Peterborough who’ve worked with Ronnie Prophet and Churck Berry and a few other artists. They play all different types of rhythm and blues music.”Saturday will include the acoustic blues of Suzie Vinnick; a very percussive Swedish band; and an act that will remind you of Leahy.“The Fitzgeralds are three siblings and a fourth member,” Larabee explains. “They do Celtic music with violins. They’re violin award winners.
