The area around the Jus Jordan Arena and the ball park in Iroquois Falls will be the focus of free Family Day activities on Monday.

Director of recreation services Brian Finner says it all starts at ten o’clock and runs until four.

“We very much encourage all families to come out and participate in events around our skating oval, snowshoe races, potato sack races, an obstacle course and of course we’re going to have a bonfire behind the arena to keep everybody warm with hot chocolate,” Finner explains.

Lunch will cost $5.00, and Finner says it’s inside the arena cafeteria.

“From 1:00pm to 2:30pm, we have a free public swim and then from 3:00pm to 4:00pm we have free family dancing as well.  So there is a slew of activities inside and outside and we really encourage participants of all ages to come out and have fun.”
