Snowmobiles shattering the silence at Cadence Residence

Snowmobilers going on a rip where they’re not supposed to are causing a problem at Cochrane’s Cadence Residence.

Manager Tracy Koskamp-Bergeron says the property is tempting because of its culverts and open space, but the machines are annoying to residents.

“They do generally appreciate the quiet and the serenity of the space that we have and machines are loud,” she comments.

Koskamp-Bergeron says not only are the residents being awakened by the noise, they’re worried someone on the snowmobiles will get hurt.

“We do have ‘no trespassing’ signs up and we do have signs that say ‘no snowmobiles’ up,” she notes. “Those have been up since we opened, but people at this point are not respecting the signs and so going forward we will be calling OPP.”
