Dog sled rides at Kapuskasing school

Students at St. Patrick’s School in Kapuskasing had a rare treat yesterday. They took a ride on a dog sled. Thanks to Ravens Adventures from Cochrane the Kapuskasing students had a great afternoon in the school yard. Two teams of sled dogs not only took the students around the school yard but the teachers too. Everyone at the school had a wonderful afternoon.  Students finished off the afternoon with a nutritious break provided by the Porcupine Health Unit and the Northern Fruit & Veggie program.

The Great Big Crunch is a special day of good food education, ending with a massive, synchronized bite into a crunchy apple to celebrate. Student’s at St. Patrick’s School in Kapuskasing all joined in on the crunch. It happened yesterday at 2:30 following  their afternoon of dog sledding, courtesy of Ravens Adventures of Cochrane. Students at the school didn’t know about the dog sledding and enjoyed the surprise put on by the school.
