Kap couple to tackle a 5000 KM canoe trip

A Kapuskasing couple will be heading west starting this weekend. Celine and Gerry D’Aoust are taking on the challenge of a lifetime by following in the footsteps of the great Canadian Voyageurs. Celine says they want to inspire people to get back to out to nature.

Celine says the Voyageurs are inspiration, and this is one of the first fur trader routes.

The couple have been preparing for their 5000-kilometre trip for a year and a half.

The pair will be starting out at 100 Mile House in BC and ending up in Lachine, Quebec sometime this fall.
