Cochrane town council has voted to give the Polar Bear Habitat a year to find alternate financing. It has committeed $400,000 to keep the tourist attraction and research facility open until December, 2020. If at any time council becomes dissatisfied with the progress of the process, it reserves the right to pull the plug.
