It wouldn’t be the Christmas season in Iroquois Falls without the Bill Harkins-Eugene Ricard Santa Claus Fund telethon.

Organizing committee member Michael Shea says this year’s show is shaping up nicely, with the entertainers that have become part of the tradition mixed in with some who are new to the event… at the community auditorium at the high school.

“The telethon is November 23rd from 5:00pm  to 10:00pm,” says Shea. “So we want to make sure the auditorium is filled at all times.”

If you can’t make it out, you can watch from home.

“There will be live streaming and we will also be on Cable 12 as well,” according to Shea.

He says that beating last year’s fundraising total of $15,000 would be phenomenal.

“This community sticks pretty well together.  We’re a tight community that cares about the people that live here,” he remarks.  “So we’re there for the people and there are people in need in this community and that’s exactly why the telethon is an annual event.”
