Thanks to funding from the National Trails Coalition, the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs and the Northern Corridor du Nord, there’s a new bridge over the Driftwood River. There’s also a smaller bridge over the Sherriff Creek as well. Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes was on hand as the bridge was formally opened on the weekend by the Arctic Riders. It will make travel across the Driftwood River much easier for sledders. The total cost of construction was more than $674,000.
