Northern Ontario Rocks when it comes to mining. Timiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof says that the presence of the mining sector of the north is a major showcase at the annual Prospectors and Developers Association Convention. The showcase of northern mining exhibitors is now the largest exhibit at the convention with exhibitors from the Quebec border to Thunder Bay participating. FedNor is now a strong supporter of their participation at the convention after a slow start by some northern mayors and reeves years ago.
