It’s Ontario Public Library Week all next week, and the Cochrane library has a calendar of events even more jam-packed than usual.
There’s free coffee and snacks all week, and everything from jack-o-lantern carving to zumba and yoga.
Program coordinator Ardis Proulx-Chedore says that on Thursday, the Artistic Endeavours group will be at the library, decorating birdhouses.
“You can actually see what they’re doing and then you can join in if you wish to,” she says. “So they’re decorating these really nice birdhouses that were made by someone local.”
And if you’ve been delinquent in returning anything you borrowed… “Pet Supplies for Fines” is made just for you.
“If you drop off any kind of pet supplies – brand new pet supplies – we can waive your fines for overdue materials. Not lost materials, but overdue materials.”
