Just over three weeks to Halloween, and the push is on to get the coolest costume possible.
At Giant Tiger in Cochrane, store owner Dan Vanier says the most popular this year are Buzz, Woody and their friends.
“The big push this year would be Toy Story,” he says. “We sold out of those pretty quick. I’m trying to get more in. We’ve got your Avengers, My Little Pony, all those licenced costumes.”
A new addition to his stock this year is plush animal masks.

“We’ve got different animal types. It was a hit last year with some of the retailers in the USA and Giant Tiger got a hold of some.”
Vanier adds that vision is pretty good while wearing the plush masks. He sees a lot of customers trying them on to test it before buying.
