If you dare venture out after dark so close to Halloween, you’re in for a Nightmare on Fifth Street in Cochrane on Saturday, October 26th.
Riff Raff Inc. is putting on the adult dance party at the Commando Pavilion, which, coincidentally or not, is on Fifth Street.
Co-organizer Dean Breathat says last year’s event attracted a lot of ghosts, goblins and other scary creatures.
“It was one of the first ones I’ve ever been at where everybody was actually dresse,” he comments. “There wasn’t anyone there that wasn’t dressed up in costime.”
That begs the question of which costume he thinks might be the most popular this year.
“I would think Game of Thrones would still be in there again, since it’s just finished a couple of months ago. That’s a good question. I’m not sure.”
All the money raised in such a frightening way goes to the Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society.
