A trailer and two houses were damaged in an early morning fire in Cochrane.
Fire chief Richard Vallee tells My Cochrane Now Dot Com that the alarm came in a few minutes before 5:30am for a trailer fire at 172 13th Ave. Flames quickly spread to the two-storey main house, and started smoldering on the house next door.
Vallee adds that once the trailer fire and the flames on the neighbouring house were put out, focus shifted to the main house. Firefighters gained the upper hand by venting the roof, and then extinguished that branch of the fire.
Two people in the house got out unhurt. No foul play is suspected.
