The non-profit Cadence Residence in Cochrane is throwing open its doors this Sunday afternoon for two reasons: to meet the new manager, Tracy Koskamp-Bergeron; and to see if the retirement centre is the place for you.
Koskamp-Bergeron says there are a few units that will be available on October 1st.
“We want people to be able to see what they look like,” she explains, “just for people to see how unique Cadence is, compared to other housing in the area, see how affordable it is, the size of the units, just get a real good feel for the place.”
“We have independent apartments, all the meals are made for you in the dining room and we have planned activities three times a day. We do light housekeeping for you but it is your own apartment. You need to be an independent senior who wants to live well in a community based setting.”
Scones, apple cider and other tastes of fall will be served to visitors at the open house. It runs from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday.
