Rain won’t put a damper on the Cochrane Fall Fair

It’s Fall Fair weekend in Cochrane, and it looks like it’ll be raining.

“And that’s okay, because have a lot of things that are going on inside and we’re still going to have a lot of fun,” says Heather Brouwer, Cochrane Agricultural Society board member and self-proclaimed ray of sunshine.

The Cochrane Agricultural Society’s director and self-proclaimed ray of sunshine, Heather Brouwer, points out how lucky it is that the fairground is right outside the curling rink.

“Our petting zoo is inside, it’s always going to be inside.  So whether it’s raining, whether it’s sunny, come out and check out all those animals.”

There’s also live entertainment inside tonight and tomorrow.

“So we’ve got a lot going on inside, plus all our all exhibits are inside,” Brouwer adds. “ So if you are afraid of getting wet, you can still come and enjoy the fall fair.  If you are not afraid of getting wet (laugh), we happen to have a couple of really good puddle spots on our property.  Bring your Wellies and go for it.”

Fair hours are six until nine tonight, ten ‘til six tomorrow.
