It’s been in Cochrane for about 70 years as Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church… and on Saturday, the congregation held a community event to welcome its new name: New Hope Community Church.
There was food, music and bouncy castles at the affair.
Associate pastor Pat Tousignant says the new name reflects the ongoing mission to share the hope of everlasting life through Christ, and to really find community.
“In our world today, that’s being lost,” he told My Cochrane Now Dot Com. “We have a synthetic form of community and we want to let people know here that New Hope, our new name is really to connect with people and bring people in and share life together.”
