Iroquois Falls North Winds swim team needs swimmers

The Iroquois Falls North Winds swim team is in danger of being permanently beached, unless more members sign up.

Assistant coach Lesley Gauthier says at least two more members are needed by September 10th. That’s when a decision on the team’s future will be made.

“We are accepting absolutely anyone and everyone,” she explains.  “As long as your kid loves to swim, we’re willing to teach.  We also have a two-week trial period which your kid can come and try for two weeks free.”

There’s a division for competitive swimmers who want to compete at swim meets; and non-competitive, for kids who just want to learn the strokes and could move up to competitive later.

“And we’ve also started a new thing this year, too,” Gauthier notes,  “where we have Masters which are adults that are welcome to come and swim with us, too.”

There are also competition opportunities for the Masters.
