Organizers of the second annual Timmins Health and Safety Conference are expecting another big turnout for the 2nd annual event that will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Mike Parent, WSN Vice President of Prevention Services says they had a full house of 200 delegates. He says there are many issues facing employers and employees in the work place, including the legalization of cannabis in Ontario and in Canada.
Parent says conferences like these are beneficial because they can share key messages with a wide variety of organizations and individuals. The second annual conference is being hosted by Workplace Safety North and the Public Service Health and Safety Association. It features an opportunity for conference delegates to learn about rending topics in health and safety, attend a trade show, network and share knowledge with professionals from diverse industries.
