Cochrane’s weekly Friday night entertainment program, Live at the Lakeside, is in its first summer, and already showing impressive results.
Recreation board chairman Shea Henderson says it attracts a couple hundred people to the outdoor stage at the Commando Pavilion every week, and always new faces.
“The word is getting out there,” he tells My Cochrane Now Dot Com. ” It’s nice to see something grow like that and at the same time if you just want to go and listen to music and socialize with somebody, it’s still 100% free.”
This week’s edition will feature “Cochrane’s Got Talent”, helping to kick off Summerfest 2019. “It’s almost filled up now, but we do have a couple spots left,” Henderson says. “If there’s anyone out there, they can email [email protected] or just shoot us a message on our Facebook page.”
