There’s a phone scam hitting the area. Hydro One is warning area residents that it is a scam as recent home owners and businesses are reportedly getting calls from Hydro One. The supposed employee asks for a credit card to pay outstanding charges immediately. Hydro One assures its customers that it never asks for a credit card over the phone and encourages everyone not to give out any personal or account information.
