NewsNDP Forces Government to Cut Perks SHARE ON: Valerie Isaac, staff Friday, Jan. 30th, 2015 Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus says that it wasn’t fair to tell senior citizens that they had to walk through snow to get their mail but Canada Post can afford to give away free sports tickets. The NDP forced the government to end the perks such as free sports tickets to friends of Canada Post and Via Rail. This comes after they grilled Transport Minister Lisa Rait in the House yesterday. The tickets were given as business development and promotional activities. Angus goes on to say the NDP are going to continue to hold the Harper Government’s feet to the fire because they can’t be trusted to respect the taxpayer.
