Family Weekend is just a couple of weeks away and the province is doing what it can to get residents out as a family. As such fishing licences are not needed the weekend of February 14th and 15th. The Smooth Rock Falls Conservation Club is holding a family-oriented fish derby on February 15th. It will be on Ouellette Lake from 9am to 4pm. Prizes will be handed out for the longest pike, pickerel and perch. There will also be a canteen on site with free hot dogs for the kids. If you didn’t get your snowmobile pass either, you’re in luck. The OFSC has a free pass that you can print off for the weekend on its site. All of this gives you and your family an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors together.
