Live children’s theatre is coming to Cochrane next month.
Cochrane Public Library program coordinator Ardis Proulx Chedore says the Toronto-based Little Red Theatre Company is bringing “The Firebird” to the Commando Pavilion stage on Friday, July 12th.
“The Firebird is a Russian fable and it tells the story of the czar who promises his kingdom as a reward to his son who can capture the most precious firebird,” she explains.
The local performance of “The Firebird” is part of the TD Summer Reading Program.
“We do some special events during the whole program,” Chedore explains, “but they’re not limited just to the participants in the program. So anybody from the public can attend this event, young or old.”
The performance is free of charge and starts at 3:30pm on July 12th.
