Some Cochrane drivers are already getting tickets worth $300 for parking in a handicapped space. Since the new fines came into place last week, some Cochrane drivers have received a parking ticket with the new fine. They’re fighting back saying that the snow covered the blue parking spot on the pavement. But the town says its not the blue on the pavement but the sign posted in front of the spot that counts. If the sign can be seen, then the driver is to blame says council.
