NewsCochrane Facilities SHARE ON: Valerie Isaac, staff Wednesday, Jan. 28th, 2015 Should Cochrane invest in expensive, permanent washroom facilities at area parks? Though this question remains unanswered, town council says they will put it on the agenda for further discussion. It is estimated that one permanent washroom hooked to town services would cost approximately $25,000 to build. Some local parents have expressed concern that the Hillcrest Ballpark, for example, is too far away from the Tim Horton Event Center and that small children aren’t up for the long walk. An alternative to expensive permanent washrooms might be the renting of porta-potties.
