Fun, games and music on Canada Day in Iroquois Falls

Canada Day festivities this year in Iroquois Falls will follow tradition, by being held at the historic Anson Park.

Director of recreation services Brian Finner says the event runs from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm, starting with the official opening, the national anthem and – of course – cake.

“We’ll have activities and unorganized activities for the kids as well,” Finner summarizes. “face painting, water games – kind of a mini-waterpark – live entertainment.  Stephanie Delaurier’s Step & Sound Dance are going to perform as well and then of course we’ll have good vendors and vendors throughout the site as well.”

…And inflated bounce houses!

“For dinner, the Legion is going to be doing a spaghetti supper,” Finner says, “and during the day they’ll actually be putting on a horseshoe tournament as well.”
