Canada Day 2019 in Cochrane starts three days early, on Friday, June 28th.

Community services director Jason Boyer says all the festivities will be centered around the Commando Pavilion.

“We have farmers market going on from 3:00pm to 6:00pm,” he tells My Cochrane Now Dot Com.  “We’ve got some live music from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, and a community play going from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.”

“We also have the youth fishing derby that night. So that’ll be a great kickoff with some live music, food and entertainment going on all night on the Friday.”

We’ll tell you about what’s planned for Canada Day itself  later in the week on Moose FM and here on My Cochrane Now Dot Com.  But let’s end the suspense: yes, there will be fireworks at ten o’clock on the night of July 1st.
