Losing the Trestle Bridge in Iroquois Falls would be another big hit to the community. Many residents are looking to council to find a way to save the bridge, which has been shut down as part of the Resolute mill closure. Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus says the town needs to focus, and find a way to keep it.
Angus says if the bridge and the mill are torn down, it will be hard to find alternatives. He says we have the assets now, and a narrow window to do something with them. The future of the mill and the bridge are still unclear. Resolute is expected to take offers to sell them next month.
